Tree care is a blend of art and science with a lot of hard work mixed in to bring it all together.
Tree care practices and work techniques are developed and supported by trade organizations, like the ISA (International Society of Arboriculture) and OCAA (Ontario Commercial Arborists Association). These organizations provide industry members with a resource for education, training and industry ethics. They develop best management practices based on relevant research and information and facilitate methods of delivering that information to their members and to the general public. Trade organizations also provide an avenue for members to network and work towards improving standards in the industry.
When hiring any contractor, ask about their experience and trade affiliations.
